Pilates Reformer
Our Pilates Reformer classes will teach you the fundamentals of Pilates to connect, engage and strengthen your powerhouse. Pilates is a wonderful form of physical activity for all fitness levels and ages. At Summit Pilates you will practice on the reformer, mat, tower, and chair. Utilizing the various props in your practice will help you discover a greater mind-body awareness, improve any muscle imbalances you may have, and strengthen and tone the entire body with a major emphasis on your CORE.
Barre/Pilates Combo Classes
Combine reformer and barre for the ultimate workout and booty burn! These two very effective workouts will give you the most bang for your buck! Pick up the intensity of your practice in these circuit combo classes to give you that muscle and calorie burn you are looking for.
Barre Sculpt
Combining barre and weight training techniques to challenge strength and endurance. The ultimate workout to get out of your comfort zone both mind and body.
Circuit Pilates
Experience intervals of cardio and strength training in this circuit based Pilates class. Challenge your mental toughness and stamina as you push through this exciting, fun and quick paced class. The group will run through multiple functional training circuits using a variety of equipment including the reformer to improve your overall strength and endurance in your day to day activities. Be prepared to take this workout outdoors when weather allows. The 4pm Tuesday CIRCUIT class meets at West Park in White Bear Lake. Wear your tennis shoes, bring water, and dress appropriately.
Barre
This class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Looking for a challenging workout that will strengthen, tone, and keep your muscles lean, yet gentle on your joints? Barre is the class for you! You will see results quickly with barre, it's a one-stop shop that includes all the essentials of a well-rounded exercise program that focuses on improving your flexibility, strength and endurance.
Restorative Deep Stretch
Restore your body's movement pattern with deep stretches and mobility exercises on the Pilates Reformer, Pilates tower, and mat using small pieces of equipment to assist you with your stretches. In this class we focus on alignment to strengthen and lengthen your body while deepening the connection to your pelvic floor, diaphragm and core. If your body sits most of the day, you feel tension in your body, or feel consistently "tight," you will benefit from this class.
